Amazon, Cashmere Group Settle Trademark Lawsuit Over Knock-Offs

A cashmere group agreed to a settlement with Amazon.com Inc. in a dispute over Amazon’s alleged sale of knock-off cashmere products, according to a Massachusetts federal court.

The Cashmere and Camel Hair Manufacturers Institute, an industry group representing the interests of camel hair and cashmere producers, had accused Amazon and CS Accessories LLC of trademark infringement for selling counterfeit garments, according to the suit. The institute and the e-commerce platform resolved the dispute just a day before going to trial, according to a dismissal filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
