NFL’s Dolphins Avoid Reinstatement of Car Racing Plan Lawsuit

Residents of a predominantly Black neighborhood near the Miami Dolphins’ Hard Rock Stadium on Wednesday lost a bid to revive their suit challenging a plan to allow Formula One racing at the site on racial discrimination and equal protection grounds.

The residents failed to show that evidence they claim to be newly discovered was previously unavailable, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida said.

Even if they did show unavailability, the evidence they present wouldn’t alter the outcome, the court said.
