Minneapolis Must Face Suit by Photographer Shot at Floyd Protest

The city of Minneapolis lost a bid to dismiss civil rights claims by a photographer whom the police shot and blinded with a foam bullet during a George Floyd protest, with the District of Minnesota finding support Monday for an unconstitutional police custom of targeting journalists through unlawful reprisals.

Linda Tirado may pursue her suit against the city for violations of her First, Fourth, and Fourteenth Amendment rights.
