Black Whole Foods Employee Settles Failure-to-Promote Bias Suit

Whole Foods Market Group Inc. and a Black employee, who said he was repeatedly denied promotion to store team leader because of his race, resolved his lawsuit, Pennsylvania federal court records show.

The company and Anthony Redley reported that they have settled, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania said Monday in an order dismissing the case.

Terms of the settlement weren’t included in the court record and attorneys for Redley and Whole Foods didn’t immediately respond Tuesday to Bloomberg Law’s requests for details.
