SEC Division of Corporation Finance Director Hinman to Leave

William Hinman will step down as the director of the SEC’s Division of Corporation Finance by year’s end, according to the agency.

Hinman has overseen the Securities and Exchange Commission division since 2017. He has helped lead efforts making rules on proxy advisory firms and issuing guidance on how security laws apply to digital assets, among other projects.
