Motley Fool Drops Crypto Fools Trademark Case After Injunction

Investing news and advice firm Motley Fool Holdings Inc. ended its trademark infringement fight against Crypto Fools LLC after securing a permanent injunction validating its rights in federal court in Virginia.

Motley Fool accused the cryptocurrency-focused firm of using “virtually identical” marks that confused consumers looking for the older company’s own financial advice products. Crypto Fools stipulated to a permanent injunction in Motley Fool’s favor, leading to dismissal with prejudice of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia case Wednesday.
