McAuliffe Electric Car Fraud Complaint a Lie, Some Investors Say

Dueling accusations of misleading the court are the latest wrinkle in an immigration-related securities fraud suit against former Virginia governor Terry McAuliffe.

McAuliffe successfully fought off a suit involving a failed electric car startup in June because the Chinese investors fell “far short” of adequately pleading they’d relied on his misleading statements. Now a group of those investors have come forward to call the whole case into question.
