The son of a pharmaceutical company director was sentenced in New York to one year and one day for leaking company secrets to a friend who’s charged with participating in a global insider-trading network.

Telemaque Lavidas, 39, has been in custody since his arrest in October, and he was convicted in January of leaking corporate secrets he got from his father, a director of Ariad Pharmaceuticals Inc.
