An automatic discovery stay dispute set for oral argument at the U.S. Supreme Court in November is on hold after the parties announced they have reached an agreement in principle to settle the securities case.
Pivotal Software Inc. sought review after a state court allowed discovery to proceed in an investor suit over the company’s 2018 initial public offering despite a pending motion to dismiss. The high court granted certiorari in July, then removed the case from the November argument calendar Thursday in response to the pending settlement.
