Workplace Violence Protections for Health Care Added to Trump Agenda

The Trump administration is resurrecting a proposed regulation that would give health care facilities guidance on how to protect workers from violent patients.

The White House sidelined the rule (RIN:1218-AD08) in 2017. The proposed protections started at the Occupational Safety and Health Administration in the closing days of the Obama presidency, at the urging of unions representing nurses and other workers at hospitals and nursing homes.
