Worker Safety Advocates Press OSHA to Prevent Heat Stress on the Job

Summer is setting in, and federal safety regulators face calls to toughen rules for when employers should take extra precautions to protect workers from heat stress.

A coalition of worker advocacy groups and safety professionals organized by the Washington-based advocacy group Public Citizen July 17 called on OSHA to go beyond offering advice by setting heat protection mandates for employers.
