Trump’s Labor Department Nominees Revived in Senate

The Senate Labor Committee next week will once again seek to move President Donald Trump’s Labor Department nominees a step closer to full floor consideration, a panel spokesman told Bloomberg Law.

The Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions is scheduled to meet Jan. 11 to vote on whether to approve Patrick Pizzella for DOL deputy secretary; Scott Mugno for DOL assistant secretary, Occupational Safety and Health Administration; William Beach for Bureau of Labor Statistics commissioner; and Cheryl Stanton for Wage and Hour Division administrator.
