Trump Taps FedEx Safety Chief to Lead OSHA

President Donald Trump announced late Oct. 27 his intent to nominate FedEx Ground official Scott Mugno to run the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

Mugno, who worked for FedEx since 1994, is currently the shipping company’s vice president of safety, sustainability, and vehicle maintenance. He has strong support from business and industry groups, including the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

“We have no announcements at this time,” White House spokesman Ninio Fetalvo told Bloomberg Law.
