Steamroller Death Lands Charges for California Company, Owner

A California worker killed by a steamroller driven by an unqualified colleague means criminal charges for a construction company, its owner, and a foreman, who will be arraigned later this month.

LC General Engineering & Construction Inc. is the third company the San Francisco District Attorney’s office charged in the death of a worker since 2010. The charges come amid a construction binge in San Francisco and a 2.2 percent construction unemployment rate in August.
