Silica Claims by Gravestone Worker Fail

The estate of a worker at a gravestone manufacturing facility failed to prove that his exposure to silica inside the plant caused his fatal silicosis (Bell v. Mine Safety Appliances Co., 2016 BL 59725, W.D. Ark., 1:13-cv-01075, 2/26/16).

Equipment supplier Rumelin Manufacturing Co. was granted summary judgment Feb. 26 by the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Arkansas on claims the sandblasting products it supplied were defectively designed.
