Ruling Against AT&T on Disciplinary Policy
On Injuries Seen Yielding More Complaints

A state administrative ruling that AT&T Inc.'s disciplinary policy for service technicians violated federal and Michigan prohibitions against punishing workers who report injuries is expected to open the door for others to file complaints (AT&T Servs. Inc. v. Aggeler).

“We’re confident we’ll gather lots of cases from around the country,” David LeGrande, director of occupational safety and health for the Communications Workers of America, told BNA Feb. 4.
