OSHA Poised to Revise Dec. 1 Electronic Reporting Mandate

OSHA is moving closer to changing its 2016 rule requiring about 466,000 employers to electronically file summaries of their annual injury and illness reports with the federal agency.

Although the filing deadline is Dec. 1, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration is expected soon to announce potential changes to the rule. On Nov. 17, the White House’s Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs completed its review of the unreleased final rule (RIN:1218-AD16) expected to change the 2016 rule (RIN:1218-AC49).
