OSHA Nominee to Leave FedEx Job That Paid Over $800,000 in 2017

If Scott Mugno becomes OSHA’s next administrator, he will retire from a FedEx post that paid him $809,279 in salary and bonuses during 2017, according to financial disclosure forms Mugno filed recently.

Mugno’s prospective federal government job pays about $187,000 annually, according to Office of Management and Budget pay tables.

While he still will have financial ties to FedEx, Mugno promised to follow federal ethic laws by not participating in any decision that has a “direct and predictable effect” on the company’s financial interests unless he’s granted a waiver.
