New York AG Moves to Dismiss Amazon’s Anticipatory Safety Case

New York Attorney General Letitia James asked a U.S. judge to throw out an Amazon.com Inc. lawsuit challenging her authority to police the company’s workplace response to the coronavirus pandemic.

James called Amazon’s Feb. 12 complaint a “deliberate effort to interfere” with her state court lawsuit filed a day later. She made the argument in a memorandum filed in support of her motion to dismiss the retailer’s Brooklyn federal court lawsuit.
