House Democrats Tap Ex-Obama Official for OSHA Policy Job

House Democrats are picking up some worker safety expertise as they prep expanded oversight of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

Former OSHA Deputy Director Jordan Barab starts at the House Education and Labor Committee Feb. 12, he told Bloomberg Law, and a committee aide confirmed.

“Like many of the other agencies, there hasn’t been any real oversight for the past two years to make sure that the agency’s doing what Congress told them,” Barab said.
