A former safety official at Tesla Inc. is suing the company, claiming he was fired in retaliation for bringing attention to injuries workers faced on the job.
Carlos Ramirez, a former director of environment, health, and safety at the company, alleges Tesla fired him in June 2017 after he discovered and reported workplace safety issues to the company, according to the June 6 complaint.
