Democrats Seek $170 Billion in School, College Aid in Stimulus

Democrats want to give K-12 schools almost $130 billion and colleges almost $40 billion for pandemic relief under a draft of legislation they’re pushing to respond to the coronavirus pandemic.

The text from the House Education and Labor Committee, released Monday, is the first version of a measure to be incorporated into the $1.9 trillion coronavirus stimulus.
