CDC States How Health Workers With Covid-19 Can Return to Duty

Health-care workers who test positive for Covid-19 may not return to duty until they test negative twice, the CDC advises.

Separate Strategies: The agency also set out conditions for when workers who present symptoms but can’t be tested may return to work. Those workers must be fever-free for three days, and at least seven days must have passed since their symptoms first appeared. The waiting periods don’t apply when there is a positive diagnosis, yet some hospitals have mixed up the two strategies.
