California Rolls Safety Rules Forward While Trump Rolls Back

California continues to lead the country in enacting new requirements for workplace safety and health rules.

The state Legislature and safety agencies continue to review and enact new measure while many proposed federal workplace safety rules are on hold or don’t have enough support in Congress to become law.

“In California, it actually gets done,” Doug Parker, executive director of the Sacramento-based advocacy group Worksafe, told Bloomberg Environment.
