National Labor Relations Board prosecutors have negotiated settlement agreements that pay workers for the economic consequences of alleged labor law violations, a type of remedy that the board itself doesn’t yet include in its judgments.
Regional NLRB offices have reached deals with employers that included reimbursement for late car and rent fees, interest payments on a loan that a worker took out to cover living expenses, and the cost of baby formula because of the loss of a workplace breast pumping station, General Counsel Jennifer Abruzzo said in a memo Thursday.
