Health-Care Violence Raises AFL-CIO Warning

The rise of serious workplace violence injuries among health-care employees is raising alarms among worker advocates.

In 2017, the private-sector rate of workplace violence at health care and social assistance providers was 14.7 incidents per 10,000 workers, an increase of 67 percent since 2007, the AFL-CIO says in a report issued today.
