VW, Audi Sued Over Allegedly Flawed Start/Stop in Audi Models

Volkswagen Group of America Inc. and Audi AG sold more than a dozen vehicle models with a flawed start/stop feature that causes loss of control of the vehicle, a proposed class suit in Virginia federal court says.

Start/stop systems automatically shut down and restart the engine to reduce the amount of time spent idling, thereby reducing fuel consumption and emissions when a vehicle is stopped in traffic or otherwise not moving.
