TransCanada Wants in on Courtroom Fight Over Keystone XL Permit

TransCanada Keystone Pipeline LP has asked to intervene in a lawsuit challenging one of the nationwide permits issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

The Northern Plains Resource Council filed its lawsuit against the Corps as the permit’s issuing agency, but TransCanada’s substantial interests in completing the Keystone XL pipeline should allow it to join the Corps in defending the permit, it said in a July 16 filing.
