Tesla Complaint Says Battery Life of Pre-Owned Vehicles Overstated

Tesla Inc. was hit with a class complaint alleging it overstates the battery life of some of its pre-owned electric vehicles and fails to provide warranty coverage and inspection information for the cars.

Tesla has faced other class complaints, but they concerned new vehicles.

The automaker fails to document inspections for certified pre-owned Model S and Model X vehicles, denies warranty coverage for them, and promises more battery life than consumers receive, the California plaintiff alleges.
