J.M. Smucker Co. and its unit Ainsworth Pet Nutrition Inc. must face most claims in a proposed class suit alleging it duped dog owners into thinking Rachael Ray Nutrish “Just 6" food was a limited ingredient product that would benefit their pets’ health, a federal court in California said.
Erin Kirchenberg began purchasing Just 6 dog food in 2018. She said she relied on defendants’ television commercials indicating that Just 6 contains only “six simple, natural ingredients” and was free of other ingredients including corn, wheat, and soy.
