Pet Owners Want Toxic Hill’s Dog Food Suits Sent to California

Suits alleging a Colgate-Palmolive Co. unit produced toxic dog food should be combined and sent to a federal court in Northern California, several pet owners say.

John Navarrete and others suing Hill’s Pet Nutrition Inc. asked a special panel Feb. 20 to send all the suits to Judge William H. Alsup in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.

The suits follow Hill’s Jan. 31, 2019, recall of some canned dog food products because they contained excessive amounts of vitamin D.
