NYU Tisch Asia Student Deception Suit Paused for Class Appeal

A class suit alleging New York University deceived students who attended its defunct Tisch Asia program was put on hold to see if their class status can be immediately appealed.

Students who attended New York University Tisch School of the Arts, Asia, allege NYU induced them with promises that the Singapore-based program would be equal to the renowned Tisch fine arts program in New York.

But although both programs charged the same annual $50,000 tuition, Tisch Asia students didn’t get the same education, professional training or equipment as their New York counterparts, the suit alleges.
