Molekule Faces Suit Over Air Purifiers’ Germ Killing Claim (1)

Sales of air purifiers are on an upswing but a new federal suit in New York says Molekule Inc.'s “Air” brand purifiers don’t live up to their promises that they will will “destroy” germs and “eliminate” indoor air pollution.

Molekule falsely represents that its air purifiers eliminate dust, pollen and other contaminants, and that its products are superior to High Efficiency Particulate Arresting (HEPA) air purifiers for removing allergens and microscopic pollutants from the home, according to the suit in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
