MLB Sued By Fan Struck in Face By Line Drive at Wrigley Field

Major League Baseball is being sued by fan who was struck in the face with a baseball while attending a game at Chicago’s Wrigley Field in 2018.

The plaintiff, Laiah Zuniga, alleges the league was negligent in failing to require the installation of sufficient netting to protect spectators at the Chicago Cubs’ stadium and failing to warn patrons of the risks of injury.

The league was on notice of the dangers after multiple incidents in which fans were struck by baseballs before Zuniga’s injury, the complaint alleges.
