Menthols, E-Cigs, Cigars Hook Kids, Groups Say in Support of Ban

Flavors are disproportionately used in tobacco products advertised to Black consumers and are “essential” to marketing them to young people, who make up almost all new tobacco users, 25 public health groups told the Ninth Circuit in support of a Los Angeles ban on tobacco flavors.

Los Angeles County is defending the ban from a challenge brought by R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. and related companies.
