Maryland, Louisiana, South Dakota Expand Sports Betting Surge

Sports betting is now legal in half the country—just two years after the Supreme Court opened the door to securing that tax revenue—thanks to successful ballot measures in in Maryland, Louisiana, and South Dakota.

Campaigns for the Nov. 3 initiatives centered on pulling in tax revenue now going to neighbors, as each state is near at least two others that have already launched or are scheduled to launch their own sports betting.
