L’Oreal Must Stand Trial on Hair Damage Claims

L’Oreal USA must stand trial in a would-be class action alleging that certain hair care products marketed to African American women caused hair loss and severe skin irritation (Carter v. L’oreal USA, Inc., 2017 BL 312878, S.D. Ala., 16-00508-CG-B, 9/6/17),

The company sought dismissal of a product liability suit by plaintiff Angela Carter, but the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Alabama allowed most of the claims to go forward.
