General Motors Oil-Guzzling Suit by Oklahoma Driver Moves Ahead

An Oklahoma driver’s proposed class action alleging General Motors LLC concealed an engine flaw that causes excessive oil consumption will advance, following a judge’s ruling that he alleged viable warranty breach and other claims.

In 2013, Durwin Hampton bought a 2013 GMC Sierra with a Generation IV Vortec engine. Hampton said he noticed a rattling sound from the engine, and found he consistently has to add two quarts of oil in between normal oil changes.
