Coke Deceptively Touts Gold Peak Tea as Low in Sugar, Suit Says

Coca-Cola Co. was hit with another proposed class suit alleging it deceptively markets tea drinks as low in sugar, this one over Gold Peak products.

The tea’s front label statements say it’s “Slightly Sweet,” is “Sweetened with 50% less sugar than our original sweet tea,” and has “90 Calories Per Bottle,” Monique Salerno alleges in the new suit in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
