Canada Dry Ginger Ale Settlement Gets Tentative Nod

A California class settlement calling for Keurig Dr Pepper Inc. to stop saying Canada Dry Ginger Ale is “Made From Real Ginger” got tentative approval in federal court.

A final approval hearing is set for April 10.

Jackie Fitzhenry-Russell and Gegham Margaryan alleged the slogan misleads consumers because the soda doesn’t contain “real ginger” as reasonable consumers understand that term.

The duo alleged the label claim falsely or misleadingly implies that Canada Dry Ginger Ale is made from ginger root and that the sodas have health benefits.
