BodyArmor Sugary Sports Drink Deception Suit Thrown Out

Statements that BodyArmor sports drink provides “Superior Hydration” and “More Natural Better Hydration” are too vague to support consumer deception claims, a federal court in California said, dismissing a proposed class suit against BA Sports Nutrition LLC.

California, Pennsylvania and New York consumers alleged the sugar-laden BodyArmor drinks are “dressed-up soda masquerading as a health drink” and don’t offer better hydration than water.
