Apple’s iPhone Battery Swap Offer Doesn’t Discourage Claims (1)

Apple Inc.'s discount offers to replace batteries in some iPhone models aren’t misleading and don’t limit customers’ right to sue the company, a federal district court has ruled.

Apple offered late last year to swap iPhone batteries in a discounted $29 replacement program following its acknowledgment that a software fix slowed the performance of some iPhone models to prolong aging batteries. Customers have sued the company and are seeking to be certified as a class.
