Allergan Hid Textured Breast Implant Cancer Risk, Suit Says

Allergan Inc. and related companies failed to disclose a link between breast implants and a rare cancer, and offered an insufficient warranty program to replace recalled implants, a new proposed class suit says.

Lana Tauben alleged her Allergan Biocell silicone breast implants with a textured surface increase her risk of developing breast implant-associated anaplastic large cell lymphoma, a cancer of the immune system.

BIA-ALCL isn’t breast cancer, although in most cases, it’s found in the scar tissue and fluid near the implant.
