$55 Million Talc Verdict Against J&J Thrown Out (1)

A Missouri court June 29 threw out a $55 million verdict against Johnson & Johnson in a lawsuit filed by a woman who claimed she contracted ovarian cancer from exposure to its talc products.

A state court jury in 2016 had awarded Gloria Ristesund, a resident of South Dakota who never lived in Missouri, $5 million in compensatory damages and $50 million in punitive damages.
