3M Suits Over Hearing Loss Will Mount, Marine Says

Suits linking hearing loss to 3M Co.‘s allegedly defective earplugs are likely to swell because the U.S. military bought enough for every service member who went into combat over a 12-year period, a former Marine says.

The Marine, John Ciaccio, said in federal court filings he “reasonably anticipates that thousands of other actions with similar allegations are likely to follow.”

At least eight former service members have filed suit so far, he said in a motion to combine all the federal suits before one judge.
