TikTok Sued Again Over In-App Browser Data Collection

TikTok Inc. was hit with a second lawsuit alleging violations of the Federal Wiretap Act over its collection of user data via an in-app web browser.

TikTok records online activity—such as clicks and keystrokes—made on third-party websites when they are opened internally on its in-app browser, according to a lawsuit filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
