StockX Gets California Data-Breach Claims Moved to Michigan

StockX LLC won a transfer of California data-breach allegations it faces to a Michigan federal court where similar litigation is pending.

“The convenience of the parties and the interest of justice favor transfer” of the case to the Eastern District of Michigan, Judge Lucy Koh of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California ruled on June 26.

Detroit-based StockX, which connects buyers and sellers of second-hand sneakers and apparel on a platform that operates similarly to a stock-trading site, petitioned for the transfer.
