Privacy Group Pushes Back Against Facebook’s $5B Settlement

The Federal Trade Commission’s $5 billion settlement with Facebook Inc. is getting pushback from a Washington D.C-based privacy group, which wants to weigh in on the deal before a judge finalizes it.

The Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC) filed a motion to intervene in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, saying it should be allowed to argue against the proposed settlement before the court approves it.
