NFL Enterprises asked the District of Rhode Island to dismiss amended class action claims that its NFL app is accessing and disclosing records of video clips viewed by users and their other personally identifiable information.
The Video Privacy Protection Act claims fail because the law applies only to video tape providers, NFL Enterprises said in a motion to dismiss filed Feb. 4 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island.
