Microsoft’s Cloud Search Gag Order Should Go, U.S. Chamber Says

A federal judge’s decision to block Microsoft Corp. from alerting a set of customers about the government’s search and seizure of their information stored on the cloud should be overturned for failing to apply the correct legal standard, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce told the Second Circuit.

The Center for Democracy and Technology, the Internet Association, and the National Association of Manufacturers joined the Chamber’s friend of the court brief filed Monday in Microsoft’s case at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
